Danielle Fishel has spoken about her ongoing friendship with Sabrina Carpenter, describing the singer and actress as a trusted source of advice years after their time on Girl Meets World.

Fishel, 44, said Carpenter remains her “go-to” person when seeking guidance, despite the age difference between them. “Sabrina gives me great advice,” Fishel said.

“For being significantly younger than me, she is one of my go-to people to ask for advice because she's got great instincts. She knows how to trust them, and I admire that so much because I'm a person who's talked myself out of my instincts over the years.”

She added that Carpenter often encourages her to trust her own judgement. “So, whenever I really need to be reminded that I probably know the answer to the question, I go to her. She's like, ‘I think you probably already know this.’ She's a real special one.”

Fishel also recalled a moment when she disagreed with Carpenter over a track on the 2022 album Emails I Can’t Send. She said Carpenter “politely told me I was wrong” about the song’s relatability.

Reflecting on a 2024 performance, Fishel said hearing thousands of fans sing along changed her perspective. “This past November, as I heard 20,000 fans in the Crypto.com Arena sing every word to that exact song right along with her, I knew she was right. She's always right,” she said.

The pair have remained close since Girl Meets World concluded in 2017. Carpenter was a bridesmaid at Fishel’s 2018 wedding and supported her during her appearance on Dancing with the Stars in 2025.
