Pakistan selects Davis Cup junior team for Kazakhstan event

The Pakistan Tennis Federation has finalised its squad for the upcoming Davis Cup Juniors, scheduled to be held in Shymkent from May 16 to 24, following trials in Islamabad.

The selection trials were conducted at the PTF Tennis Complex from March 30 to April 2, with 12 players invited based on rankings and recent performances.

Abubakar Talha was exempted from the trials in recognition of his recent results but was included in the final squad alongside Hassan Usmani and Zohaib Afzal Malik.

The three players will represent Pakistan in the junior international event, which brings together emerging talent from across regions.

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the federation, and Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail extended their best wishes to the selected players and their families ahead of the competition.
