The Masked Singer season 14 winner has been revealed, with Ashlee Simpson Ross taking the Golden Mask trophy after performing as Galaxy Girl in the finale broadcast on April 1.
The Fox competition series concluded with four finalists: Galaxy Girl, Pugcasso, Cat Witch and Crane. Simpson Ross was unmasked as Galaxy Girl following performances of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” and Pink’s “Try”, which were presented to judges Rita Ora, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong during the final episode.
The result placed Simpson Ross ahead of runner-up Phillip Phillips, who appeared as Pugcasso. Kylie Cantrall finished third as Cat Witch, while Normani placed fourth as Crane.
Ahead of the reveal, Simpson Ross was joined on stage by her sister Jessica Simpson, who provided a clue linked to the contestant’s identity. The judges unanimously identified Simpson Ross as the performer behind the Galaxy Girl mask.
Speaking after the finale, Simpson Ross reflected on the outcome, stating, “I definitely did not think I was going to win, but I was like, ‘I'm here to fight, and I'm going to try.’” She added, “But the second they said I won, I dropped to my knees, because I didn't expect it. So it was really fun.”
She also commented on the experience of participating in the show, describing it as intensive but enjoyable. “It was like Masked Singer bootcamp. A lot of work goes into this show,” she said.
Simpson Ross noted the support of her family during the competition, including her sister and daughter, and referenced her husband Evan Ross, who also competed earlier in the season.
