Pakistani streetwear brand collaborates with Karachi-based illustrator
Popular Pakistani streetwear brand Movement has announced a collaboration with Karachi-based artist and illustrator Adeel Uz Zafar, set to launch this Friday.
Titled Movement × Adeel Uz Zafar, the collection represents a fusion of visual art and contemporary streetwear.
Known for its contemporary, high-quality designs, including the popular Waz hoodie, the brand emphasises a socially driven approach rooted in local artistry, aligning seamlessly with Zafar’s creative vision.
Zafar, an art educator with a BFA from National College of Arts, Lahore, held his first exhibition in 2009 and has since emerged as a notable contemporary artist in Pakistan. His signature works include plush, cuddly toy figures wrapped in gauze bandages, created using materials such as plastic vinyl, emulsion, and acrylic gel.
His work has been showcased at several international art fairs, including Art Stage Singapore, Art Fair Philippines, and Art Dubai. This marks his first collaboration with a fashion brand.
The brand described the collaboration as a bold new intersection of art and streetwear. “This isn’t just apparel; it’s a dialogue between structure and chaos. Join the movement,” the team added.
