Zendaya recalls how Tom Holland calmed her at Spider-Man audition

Zendaya has shared rare insights into her relationship with Tom Holland, describing him as “my person” and revealing how their bond began during their first audition together.
Speaking on Modern Love podcast, Zendaya explained that she feels a sense of calm and comfort around Holland that sets him apart. “I knew this is my person because I don’t feel nervous around them,” she said, adding that she actually feels more at ease with him than when they are apart.
The actress recalled that their first meeting took place during auditions for Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Holland’s kindness helped ease her nerves. At the time, both actors were stepping into major roles, with Holland debuting as Spider-Man and Zendaya joining the franchise as MJ.
The pair went on to star together in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home, strengthening both their on-screen chemistry and off-screen relationship. They are set to reunite again in upcoming projects, further fueling public interest in their partnership.
Zendaya also addressed ongoing speculation about their private life, including recent rumors about a possible wedding. While she did not confirm such claims, she acknowledged the intense public attention surrounding their relationship.
Despite being global stars, Zendaya emphasized the importance of maintaining boundaries. She noted that while she understands the public’s interest, she prefers to keep certain aspects of her personal life private to preserve the joy and authenticity of their connection.
