Andrew Garfield is once again addressing whether he could return to the role of Spider-Man, and his answer suggests the possibility is never fully closed.
The actor, who portrayed Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel before reprising the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, spoke about the idea during a recent interview on Heart Radio with Yasmin Evans. Garfield approached the topic with his trademark humour, noting how the question seems to follow him wherever he goes.
“I think that’s a question that’s going to follow me for the rest of my life,” Garfield said. “Are you secretly in the new Spider-Man film? Sure. Until I’m 90 years old, they’re going to ask me, are you in the new Spider-Man volume 512? And I’ll be like, I’m literally weeing into a colostomy bag right now.”
Despite the jokes, Garfield also expressed gratitude and humility about his career. “But also, people can ask me whatever they want. My life is very blessed,” he added, showing that while the idea of another Spider-Man film is unlikely in the immediate future, he remains open to the possibility and content with how his journey has unfolded.
Garfield first became a household name when he took on the role of Peter Parker in 2012, bringing a fresh perspective to the superhero. His portrayal was praised for its emotional depth, and fans were thrilled when he returned in the multiverse-spanning No Way Home alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire. The appearance cemented his legacy in the Spider-Man franchise and sparked constant speculation about whether he might reprise the role in future Marvel projects.
