Lana Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene has fired back at a social media user who predicted their marriage would fail.
The exchange happened in the comments section of an Instagram post featuring the couple. One user wrote a blunt prediction about the relationship, saying, “I’m sorry but the marriage won’t last. I will give it two years tops. The honeymoon will soon be over and I can’t wait because it’s affecting her music.”
Dufrene did not ignore the remark. Instead, he responded directly with a short but pointed reply: “You’re just jealous.”
The response quickly circulated online, with fans sharing screenshots of the exchange and praising the blunt comeback. For someone who generally keeps a low profile compared with his superstar wife, Dufrene’s reply surprised many followers who rarely see him engage publicly.
Del Rey and Dufrene married in September 2024 in a private ceremony in Louisiana. The singer first met him years earlier when she took one of his swamp boat tours in the area, and the two later reconnected before quietly tying the knot.
Their relationship has drawn intense online curiosity from the start, partly because of the contrast between Del Rey’s global pop stardom and Dufrene’s life as a Louisiana airboat captain and wildlife tour guide. Despite the attention, the couple have mostly kept their relationship away from the spotlight, sharing only occasional glimpses of their life together.
The recent comment exchange shows that even with a relatively private approach to fame, criticism still reaches them online. In this case, however, Dufrene made it clear he was not going to let the remark slide without a response.
While Del Rey herself did not respond to the comment, her husband’s quick comeback has become a talking point among fans, many of whom applauded the simple two-word reply aimed at shutting down speculation about their relationship.
