A police report has revealed new details about a shooting incident at Rihanna’s home, including her reported account of the events during the attack.
According to documents made public through a recent court filing and acquired by The Los Angeles Times,, the incident occurred earlier this month while Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky and their children were present at the property. The report emerged as the suspect, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, entered a not guilty plea to attempted murder charges.
In her reported statement to police, Rihanna said she and A$AP Rocky were inside an Airstream trailer on the property when the shooting began. She recalled that Rocky had been asleep when she “suddenly heard approximately ten loud sounds like something banging on metal.”
The singer is said to have reacted quickly, waking her partner and warning him of the danger. According to the report, she “told him they were being shot at and pushed both of them to the ground.” The pair then moved to the main house to check on their children.
Prosecutors indicated that several other individuals were also present at the time, including Rihanna’s mother, two staff members and neighbours. The report states that three bullets struck the windshield and side of the trailer, near where Rihanna had been standing, but did not penetrate the structure.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, no injuries were reported. The family is believed to have left Los Angeles shortly afterwards, although neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky has publicly commented on the situation.
Ortiz, identified as a 35-year-old speech-language pathologist, now faces ongoing legal proceedings. The case continues to develop as further details emerge through the courts, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
