At least five people were killed and two others injured in a series of armed attacks carried out by a large group of terrorists in Panjgur district of Balochistan late last night, police said on Sunday. Security forces responded swiftly, killing six attackers during an exchange of fire.
According to police, a large number of armed men first attacked the house of Arshad Baloch in the Khudabadan area of Panjgur. Heavy firing and explosions resulted in the deaths of Imdad Ibrahim, Burhan Arshad, and Aziz Wazir. The attackers set fire to three rooms of the house, damaged the main gate, and destroyed portions of the boundary wall.
In a separate but simultaneous incident in the same Khudabadan area of Sarawan, militants opened intense fire on the house of Bahram alias Chalak. No casualties or property damage were reported from this attack.
