IHC lifts ban on federal recruitment
The IHC has lifted its stay order on recruitment in the federal police and other federal institutions.
The court has directed the Inspector General of Islamabad Police to initiate a fresh recruitment drive in accordance with the prevailing policy framework.
A larger bench issued a written order withdrawing the injunction that had been in force since August 1, 2024.
While vacating the stay order, the court permitted the resumption of recruitment, stipulating that all new appointments will remain subject to the final outcome of the case.
The court further observed that the candidates who had exceeded the age limit be afforded an opportunity to participate in the forthcoming recruitment process.
