Ryan Gosling to star in secret Daniels film following Everything Everywhere All at Once
Ryan Gosling is lining up his next major role, teaming with the acclaimed directing duo Daniels for an upcoming untitled feature at Universal Pictures.
The project marks the first film from Daniels, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, since their Oscar-winning success with Everything Everywhere All at Once. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the film is expected to begin production in Los Angeles this summer, with a mix of rising talent and established names in the cast.
The collaboration comes at a high point in Gosling’s career. His recent sci-fi release, Project Hail Mary, has been a major box office and critical success, setting records and earning some of the strongest reviews of his career.
Daniels have spent the past few years developing the secretive project, which was set up at Universal in 2024 and is currently slated for a November 2027 release.
The studio reportedly aimed high for its lead, and secured one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in Gosling.
With another space epic, Star Wars: Starfighter, already on his schedule for 2027, Gosling continues to cement his place at the center of large-scale, high-profile productions while collaborating with some of the industry’s most distinctive filmmakers.
