Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa has joined the cast of Peaked, the upcoming A24 comedy directed by Molly Gordon.

The film, written by Allie Levitan, follows two former high school classmates who traumatized their peers as they attempt to relive their glory days at their ten-year reunion. Character details for Lipa’s role remain under wraps.

Lipa joins an ensemble that already includes Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, Jaya Harper, Emil Wakim, and Alex Consani.

A24 is financing the project and producing alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman, and Gordon, with Levitan serving as executive producer. Production is scheduled to begin next month.

The casting marks Lipa’s latest foray into acting following roles in Barbie and Argylle, as well as multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live as both host and musical guest. The three-time Grammy winner and seven-time Brit Award recipient rose to global fame with her self-titled debut album and the chart-topping Future Nostalgia, which won Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021. Her most recent album, Radical Optimism, was released in 2024.

Lipa is represented by CAA, Radical22, and Permanent Press Media.

With its star-studded ensemble and rising anticipation around Lipa’s expanding acting career, Peaked is shaping up to be one of A24’s most talked-about upcoming releases.
