Iain Armitage says he’d be 'honoured' to guest star on 'Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage'
Despite his willingness to join the show, Armitage emphasised it isn’t necessary for him to appear

Iain Armitage, who plays young Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, says he would be “honoured” to make a guest appearance on the Big Bang Theory spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
While most of the show’s cast, including headliner Montana Jordan, have crossed over from the original series, Armitage has yet to appear on the CBS multi-cam comedy. The absence isn’t surprising, as Sheldon’s character attends school in California, far from his Texas family.
Speaking to TV Insider, Armitage praised the spinoff and its cast: “I’ve been loving watching Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. They’re doing an awesome job as a cast.” He acknowledged the unique flavour each series in the Big Bang universe has developed, saying, “The cool thing about the entire Big Bang, Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy universe is the fact that each spin-off show has really kind of taken on its own unique flavor as it’s been on television.”
Despite his willingness to join the show, Armitage emphasised it isn’t necessary for him to appear. “As much as I would love to, and as fun as it would be at some point, I don’t think it’s necessary. I think it would be fun, and I would love to do it, but they’re doing such an awesome job. I would feel bad going in there and diluting their hard work,” he explained.
He hinted that a potential Sheldon cameo might happen in the future, perhaps for a holiday episode, but for now, he enjoys watching as a fan. “Maybe a holiday episode one day, but in the meantime, I like getting to sit back, and they don’t make me work. I like to sit back and watch it as a fan, too,” Armitage said.
Looking ahead, Armitage noted there are plenty of opportunities for him on CBS and other projects. “I wanna be on Tracker, I wanna be on Survivor… Matlock. There are so many good CBS shows I need to bounce around to first,” he joked. Fans will next see him on Ghosts, where he plays a heightened version of himself.
While an appearance on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage isn’t imminent, Armitage’s comments leave the door open for future crossovers in the Big Bang Theory universe.
