Greys Anatomy actors Caterina Scorsone and ER Fightmaster have sparked speculation of a real-life relationship after being seen together in Los Angeles, years after their on-screen characters separated in the long-running medical drama.
The pair, who portrayed Dr Amelia Shepherd and Dr Kai Bartley, were reportedly photographed leaving a café together while holding hands following a lunch outing.
The sighting took place at Highly Likely café, according to published images, and has led to discussion among fans regarding a possible off-screen connection.
Scorsone, 44, and Fightmaster, 33, previously shared a storyline across seasons 18 and 19 of Greys Anatomy, where their characters developed a relationship that later ended when Kai Bartley left for a career opportunity in London.
The on-screen breakup was marked by a final exchange in which Kai said: “From the minute I told you about London, which is the biggest career opportunity of my life, you have made it about you,” to which Amelia responded: “‘But.’ That’s what people say before they abandon you.”
Representatives for both actors have been contacted for comment, though no official confirmation regarding their relationship has been issued.
Scorsone has been a regular presence on the series since her introduction in season seven in 2010 and later became a main cast member. She was previously married to musician Rob Giles from 2009 to 2020, and they share three children.
Fightmaster joined the show in season 18, portraying the programme’s first nonbinary doctor. Their character worked as a neuroscientist involved in research on Parkinson’s disease and played a central role in a storyline that saw Amelia exploring a significant queer relationship for the first time.
Following the departure of Kai Bartley in season 19, Amelia’s character has been involved in other relationships within the series. The recent sighting of Scorsone and Fightmaster together has led to renewed public interest in their connection beyond the show.
