Tom Blyth defends girlfriend Daniela Norman after ‘vulgar’ dress comment
Tom Blyth is standing up for his girlfriend, Daniela Norman, after a social media user criticized her red carpet fashion choice.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes star took to Instagram to respond to a commenter who called Norman’s sheer dress “vulgar” and “inappropriate” for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The event, held in Los Angeles following the Oscars, drew hundreds of celebrities, with Blyth and Norman making a stylish appearance together.
The comment, left on Blyth’s post featuring photos from the night, read: “He looks handsome and elegant, but his girlfriend, on the other hand, looks incredibly vulgar, dressed completely inappropriately for the occasion.”

Blyth did not hesitate to fire back. “stfu [shut the f—k up]. She wore a dress that she was excited by and she looked EXQUISITE in it,” he wrote, shutting down the criticism with emphatic support for his partner.
The commenter later replied, attempting to clarify: “I’m glad you’re okay with it, but it felt a bit disrespectful to you since you were so elegant—it ended up feeling a bit mismatched, just saying.”
Norman, an actress known for her role in the Netflix series Tiny Pretty Things and the 2019 musical film Cats, has been linked to Blyth throughout 2025, regularly appearing on his Instagram feed. The couple made their red carpet debut in September and have since become a frequently photographed pair at industry events.
Blyth’s swift and passionate defense has since drawn praise from fans, with many applauding the actor for standing by his girlfriend against unsolicited criticism about her fashion choices.
The Vanity Fair Oscar Party remains one of Hollywood’s most anticipated annual events, with over 250 celebrities in attendance this year.
