RAWALPINDI:

An 18-year-old boy with hearing and speech impairments was allegedly subjected to gang rape by four individuals in the Garja area within the jurisdiction of Dhamial Police Station.

The accused are also reported to have engaged in further acts of abuse against the vulnerable victim. A case has been formally registered, and all four suspects have been arrested.

According to police officials, the victim's father, while lodging the First Information Report (FIR), stated that his 18-year-old son, who is deaf and mute, had suddenly gone missing from home. After an extensive search, he eventually found his son returning through a street in the neighbourhood.

Upon seeing his father, the boy broke down in tears and, through sign language, indicated that a man named Hamza, along with three unidentified accomplices, had assaulted him.

The victim also showed a photograph of a boy named Abdullah on a mobile phone, suggesting his involvement. Shortly thereafter, Abdullah's father reportedly arrived at the complainant's residence and attempted to coerce a settlement, discouraging the family from approaching the police.

The complainant has demanded strict legal action against all those involved.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Rawalpindi City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani ordered swift action, leading to the arrest of all four accused.

Saddar SP Anum Sher confirmed that a medical examination of the victim has been conducted.
