Chappell Roan has addressed allegations made by Jorginho Frello regarding an incident involving his young daughter and security personnel at a hotel in São Paulo.

The controversy emerged after Frello shared a statement on social media describing what he called a “very sad situation” during the family’s stay in the city, where Roan was performing at Lollapalooza Brazil. According to Frello, his 11-year-old daughter became distressed after a security guard allegedly spoke “extremely aggressively” to her while she was near the singer at breakfast, despite not approaching or interacting directly.

In response, Roan posted a video statement clarifying that the individual involved was not part of her personal security team. She stated that she was unaware of the interaction at the time and emphasized that neither the child nor her mother had approached her.

“I did not ask the security guard to speak to them,” Roan said, adding that it was “unfair” for assumptions to be made without any direct interaction. She also issued an apology to the family, expressing regret that they felt uncomfortable during the incident.

Roan further addressed online backlash, rejecting claims about her attitude toward fans. “I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children,” she stated, calling such interpretations inaccurate.

The situation has sparked broader discussion about celebrity security practices and fan interactions, particularly in public spaces. It also follows recent conversations around Roan’s boundaries with paparazzi and public attention during high-profile appearances.
