Kendra Duggar charged with child endangerment along with husband Joseph Duggar

Joseph Duggar and Kendra Duggar have been charged with multiple offences, including child endangerment and false imprisonment, as part of an ongoing investigation, according to Arkansas authorities.

In a press release issued on March 20, the Tontitown Police Department confirmed that both individuals are facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.

Arrest warrants for the misdemeanour charges have been issued and served through the District Court. Authorities stated that the investigation remains “active and ongoing”, adding that legal restrictions limit the amount of information that can be publicly disclosed in cases involving minors.

“To protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of those involved, no further details will be provided at this time,” the department said.

The latest charges add to existing allegations against Joseph Duggar, 31, who was previously charged with two counts, including lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious behaviour by a person aged 18 or older.

These charges relate to an alleged incident reported to have taken place in 2020 in Panama City Beach, Florida.

According to a statement from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the allegations involve a nine-year-old girl. Authorities claim Duggar engaged in unlawful conduct during a family holiday. The statement further notes that Duggar allegedly apologised and the incidents ceased thereafter.

Joseph Duggar was arrested in Arkansas but is expected to be extradited to Florida, where the case is being handled.

Kendra Duggar, 27, has now been newly charged in connection with the same investigation. The couple, who married in 2017 and share four children, previously appeared on the TLC reality television franchise.
