Victoria Villarroel, former assistant to Kylie Jenner, is opening up about the surprisingly simple moment that led her to walk away from the job.

Speaking on her Better Half podcast with Stassie Karanikolaou, Villarroel recalled a turning point five years into working with Jenner, when a casual request made her realize their professional boundaries had blurred.

“We were in the kitchen and [Jenner] was like, ‘Vic, I need my laptop, it’s upstairs,’ and I was like, ‘Oof, who’s gonna get that?’” she said with a laugh.

The lighthearted exchange became a defining moment, signaling that their dynamic had shifted beyond a typical boss-assistant relationship. Villarroel said the realization was mutual, and the two soon understood it was time to move on.

Despite her initial fears about leaving what she described as a “dream job,” Villarroel shared that Jenner was fully supportive, encouraging her to pursue her own path.

She eventually stepped away in 2020 to build a career as an influencer, while maintaining a close friendship with the reality star.
