Oscar‑winning actor Kevin Spacey has reached a confidential settlement with three men who accused him of sexual assault, averting a scheduled civil trial in London’s High Court later this year. The agreements, approved by a court order dated March 13, 2026, effectively halted all legal proceedings against Spacey in these cases, with the terms of the settlements remaining private.

The accusations against Spacey, now 66, stemmed from alleged incidents between 2000 and 2013, with two of the civil claimants having previously testified in Spacey’s 2023 criminal trial in London, where he was acquitted of all nine sexual assault charges. Spacey has consistently denied the allegations, maintaining that any interactions were either consensual or did not occur as described by the accusers.

These settlements come after years of legal battles that have significantly impacted Spacey’s career. Following the emergence of sexual misconduct allegations in 2017, the actor was removed from major roles in projects such as House of Cards and All the Money in the World, and his public reputation suffered notable damage.

Spacey’s legal challenges have included multiple civil and criminal cases in both the U.K. and United States. In 2022, he successfully defended against a $40 million civil suit in New York, and he was cleared of all criminal charges in London in 2023. In the wake of the new settlement, the High Court has stayed further proceedings, and no trial related to these civil claims will take place as originally planned.

Representatives for both Spacey and the claimants have declined to comment publicly on the agreed settlements. The confidential resolutions bring another chapter to a long and controversial legal saga that has spanned more than a decade.
