Teyana Taylor has responded to online criticism following her reaction to losing the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2026 Academy Awards.

During the ceremony on March 15, presenter Zoe Saldaña announced Amy Madigan as the winner for her role in Weapons. Taylor, who had been nominated for her performance in One Battle After Another, was seen standing, applauding and cheering immediately after the result was revealed.

The moment drew attention on social media, where some users questioned her response. One post described the reaction as unusual, with a user claiming “something was off” and suggesting she was “wildin at the Oscar's”.

Taylor later addressed the criticism in a post, writing, “The world holds so much misery that miserable hearts forget the face of happiness.”
