Police Performance: Over 10,000 absconders arrested
Lahore Police arrested 6,408 proclaimed offenders and 4,212 court absconders in a special campaign.

Lahore Police arrested 6,408 proclaimed offenders and 4,212 court absconders in a special campaign from June to September, said a press release from the capital city police officer (CCPO). The arrested suspects were wanted in 185 murders cases, 160 attempted murder cases, 196 dacoity cases, 1,124 theft or robbery cases, and 4,743 other cases. CCPO Ahmad Raza Tahir said that the drive to arrest proclaimed offenders and court absconders must be strengthened. He said Lahore Police had a single-point agenda: to eradicate crime and criminals, so that citizens may live in peace and pursue social, cultural and business activities as normal.
