Armed encounter: Cops arrest 2 robbers after shootout

Some armed outlaws snatched Rs500,000 from Ramzan near Chak No160-GB at gunpoint.

Police officials have arrested two robbers in a shoot out in the limits of the Police Station Sadar Jaranwala on Saturday. According to police officials, some armed outlaws snatched Rs500,000 from Ramzan near Chak No160-GB at gunpoint and fled from the scene on a motorcycle.



On a tip-off, Sadar Jaranwala police encircled the area and asked the robbers to hand themselves over but they opened fire. The arrested robbers were identified as Saif Kilyar and Arshad Arain. Police officials have recovered cash, a motorcycle and weapons.
