‘Love Island USA’ returns for season 8 this June
Love Island USA is returning for its eighth season, Peacock confirmed, with Ariana Madix reprising her role as host. The new season is set to premiere on June 2 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, bringing a fresh cast of Islanders into the villa in search of love.
The announcement follows a record-breaking seventh season, which accumulated over 18.4 billion minutes streamed on Peacock across six weeks and held the No. 1 spot for streaming original titles in the U.S. for six consecutive weeks. Variety previously reported that Season 7 became the most-watched streaming original TV season in the show’s history, with a 150% increase in year-to-year viewership.
Love Island USA first premiered in 2019, adapting the format of the U.K.’s successful Love Island series. The show follows a group of singles, known as Islanders, as they navigate relationships, romance, and competitions while living together in a luxurious villa. Season 7 featured contestants including Bryan Arenales, Gracyn Blackmore, Jeremiah Brown, Clarke Carraway, Amaya Espinal, Hannah Fields, Pepe Garcia, and Iris Kendall.
In addition to the main series, Peacock also confirmed the premiere of Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2 on April 15. The companion series will showcase fan-favourite Islanders from Season 7 and release two episodes initially, with two new episodes streaming every Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
