KARACHI:

Youm-e-Quds serves as a reminder of the decades-long struggle of the oppressed Palestinians, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Friday and reaffirmed Pakistan's support for their legitimate struggle for self-determination. CM Shah expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people on the occasion of Youm-e-Quds.

"The people of Pakistan stand with their Palestinian brothers and will continue to extend moral and diplomatic support to their legitimate struggle," he said, urging the international community to take notice of human rights violations in Palestine and play an effective role in resolving the issues faced by the Palestinian people.

CM Shah also stated that rallies in support of Palestine were being staged across Pakistan. He directed law enforcement agencies, including the police and Rangers, to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the rallies and asked district administrations to coordinate closely with organisers to maintain law and order.

Separately, Chief Minister Shah presided over the first board session of the SFMH, which has been formally established under the Sindh Fund Management House Act 2021 to serve as the central institutional platform for managing 16 designated provincial government funds, including the Sindh Provincial Pension Fund (2002), Sindh Social Relief Fund (2006), and Sindh General Provident Investment Fund (2007).

"The SFMH will ensure that every rupee of public money is invested transparently and professionally in the long-term interest of the people of Sindh," he said, stressing the need for strict governance and risk-control measures.

During the session, the board gave in-principle approval to the draft SFMH Investment Policy 2026.
