Labrinth has sparked concern among fans after posting a blunt message on social media declaring that he is done with the entertainment industry while criticizing both his record label and the hit TV series Euphoria.
The artist, who created much of the distinctive music and score for the HBO drama, shared an expletive-laden message online saying he was “done with this industry.”
In the post, he also took aim at Columbia Records and referenced Euphoria, though he did not elaborate on the specific issues behind his frustration.
Labrinth in new Instagram post ahead of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3:
“IM DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY
F*CK COLUMBIA
DOUBLE F*CK EUPHORIA
IM OUT
THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X” pic.twitter.com/JbIWjo4rd0Labrinth has been a key creative force behind the show’s music since its debut, composing its atmospheric score and contributing several songs that became closely associated with the series.
One of the most recognizable tracks connected to the show is All for Us, which features vocals from Euphoria star Zendaya and gained widespread popularity following its appearance in the show.
His comments come as the HBO drama prepares for its highly anticipated third season, which will arrive after a lengthy gap following Season 2. The upcoming installment is also expected to feature music contributions from acclaimed film composer Hans Zimmer.
Labrinth did not clarify whether his message means he plans to permanently leave music or film scoring, and neither his representatives nor HBO have publicly addressed the remarks.
For now, the post has left fans speculating whether the statement was made in frustration or signals a more serious decision to step away from the industry.
