Jack Antonoff is opening up about his 2023 wedding to actress Margaret Qualley in a new song with his band, Bleachers. On March 10, the group released dirty wedding dress, the second single from their upcoming album, everyone for ten minutes, set to drop on May 22.

The track references Antonoff and Qualley’s star-studded Long Beach Island, New Jersey, wedding on August 19, 2023, which included celebrity guests such as Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne, and Lana Del Rey. The song also touches on reports that some Swift fans crashed the couple’s wedding festivities.

Antonoff sings about the intrusions, calling the uninvited guests “interlopers” and “herbs”:

“Well, listen, I got somethin’ up on my mind / And I think it’s time that we talked / There’s too many interlopers that are showin’ up / And some of ‘em deserve second thoughts.”

The chorus celebrates the couple’s union despite the chaos:

“The dirty wedding dress is a promise / I knew it that night at the shore / And I knew that night on the rooftop / I knew that she was from before / So we got married that August / And the neighbors all lost their minds / We had to board up all the windows and shoot out the drones / We took that sadness right from Saturday night, oh.”

Antonoff concludes with a note of privacy and intimacy:

“Now only my people can see me / Only my people come in.”

The singer-songwriter previously spoke about the wedding during a December 2023 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, calling the day “really beautiful” and acknowledging the unexpected spotlight.

He added, “Someone told me that when you die and when you get married is the only time everyone you love is in a room… And then as soon as it started, my whole body became wet.”

Antonoff and Qualley have also shared insights about how their relationship has changed them. Antonoff told i-D magazine in February, “The second I met my partner a cynical part of me died—the very Jewish, analytical, endlessly-weighing-everything part.”

That same month, Qualley told Vanity Fair, “I’ve always been very love-oriented. I’ve always been looking for my person, and I met Jack. I love my husband, my family… And anything Jack writes.”

Bleachers’ album everyone for ten minutes will be released on May 22, 2026, with dirty wedding dress giving fans a personal glimpse into Antonoff and Qualley’s special day.
