Rick and Morty is returning for its ninth season later this year, with Adult Swim confirming a premiere date of May 24, 2026.

Alongside the release date, Adult Swim has reassured viewers that the new season will maintain the show’s signature creativity and humor.

The official synopsis promises “no AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts.” This tongue-in-cheek statement underscores the network’s commitment to keeping the series handcrafted, wild, and absurdly funny.
