Chelsea Handler has officially “hard-launched” her new relationship, sharing photos with her mystery partner during a recent trip to Istanbul.
The comedian posted a series of loved-up photos on Instagram and TikTok on March 9, showing the couple exploring the Turkish city together, including selfies and shots of them clinking Aperol spritz cocktails. However, Handler chose not to reveal the man’s identity.
Handler previously explained that the two first met in November 2025 at a blackjack table at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The encounter began when she asked a stranger wearing a cowboy hat if she could borrow $1,000 to keep playing.
“I had to ask this guy sitting at a blackjack table who was wearing a cowboy hat… ‘Hey buddy, can I borrow $1,000?’” Handler recalled. He agreed, and she later paid him back, though she joked that she eventually took the extra interest back.
Handler said the pair reconnected the next day when he texted her after getting her number through a mutual friend. Their relationship quickly escalated when she invited him to join her on a Thanksgiving trip to Antarctica, and he bought a ticket and met her there.
The comedian now affectionately refers to him as “Cowboy,” though she clarified he’s “not a real cowboy.” She described the relationship as going strong and admitted the bold gesture of flying to Antarctica impressed her.
Handler, who currently has a comedy residency at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, was previously in a nearly year-long relationship with fellow comedian Jo Koy before the couple split in July 2022.
While the identity of her new partner remains under wraps, Handler’s playful posts suggest the pair are enjoying their whirlwind romance, one that started with a gamble at a blackjack table.
