ISLAMABAD:

The newly established Ramna Police Station welcomed its first four ‘state guests’ on Saturday. The men were part of a gang of robbers and were arrested with arms and ammunition in their possession.

The Ramna police received information on presence of a gang of robbers in Sector G-10/1 preparing to rob a house in the area. A police team was formed by Saddar Superintendent of Police Sajid Kiyani to trace and arrest the suspected robbers.

After a raid at their hideout in G-10/1, Zulfiqar alias Zulfi, Muhammad Ali, Nawazish Ali and Zafar Ali alias Zafri were arrested. The police team also recovered two pistols, ten rounds and two daggers from their possession.

During preliminary investigations, the robbers confessed to their involvement in several recent robberies. They were booked for different past cases and a new case was registered at Shalimar Police Station. The suspects were produced before a court, which sent them on physical remand for two days.
