Atlético Madrid players will take part in a unique crossover with Peaky Blinders as part of a promotional campaign with Netflix.
According to reports, actors dressed as characters from the hit series will escort players onto the pitch ahead of Atlético Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Getafe CF at the Cívitas Metropolitano.
The collaboration is part of Netflix’s promotional campaign for the upcoming film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which will continue the story of the Shelby family following the series’ six-season run. The movie is scheduled to arrive on the platform on March 20.
The pre-match event is expected to feature actors portraying members of the Shelby gang escorting players onto the field in a theatrical entrance before kickoff.
Promotional videos featuring Atlético players such as Antoine Griezmann, Koke, José María Giménez, Alexander Sørloth and Ademola Lookman have also been released ahead of the event.
Fans attending the match on March 14 will also get a themed experience around the stadium. The Metropolitano will reportedly host a “Garrison Tavern” inspired by the show’s iconic pub, along with themed barbershops and actors dressed as characters handing out Shelby-style hats and newspapers.
The collaboration blends football and television fandom, using the high-profile match to build excitement ahead of the film’s release while offering supporters a unique matchday experience.
