Park adoption scheme expanded

The Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) is planning to expand the green cover in cities recently added to its jurisdiction, including Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan, Khushab, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujrat, Jhelum, Murree, Khanewal and Muzaffargarh.

PHA Director General Raja Mansoor Ahmad said on Thursday that new parks are being developed in Sargodha, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and other cities alongside the rehabilitation and beautification of existing facilities.

The authority has also expanded its Adopt-a-Park scheme launched in Lahore to other cities across the province.
