Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal details relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in new interview
Peggy Siegal opens up on her decade-long professional and personal dealings with Jeffrey Epstein

Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal has shared new details about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in a feature for New York magazine.
Siegal, 78, explained how she and Epstein developed a professional and personal arrangement during the financier’s efforts to gain access to A-list Hollywood circles.
Siegal’s career, spanning four decades, was damaged after she was identified as a “social guarantor” who aided Epstein in entering elite social networks following his release from Florida jail in the mid-2000s.
Hundreds of emails between Siegal and Epstein have since been released by the Department of Justice, revealing affectionate language and ongoing contact from 2009 until three months before Epstein’s arrest on federal sex-trafficking charges.
Speaking to New York, Siegal described Epstein’s early tactics. “He proceeded to name-drop all these people we both knew, friends in common… I instantly knew he collected information to use against you,” she said.
Siegal maintains she was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities at the time but later acknowledged accepting funds from him for travel until 2010.
The emails suggest a distant yet “platonically affectionate” relationship. Epstein sought Hollywood access, and Siegal gained resources to maintain her work with top-tier clients.
She recalled helping plan a star-studded dinner for Epstein, targeting guests including Woody Allen, on behalf of Harvey Weinstein to secure a promotional copy of The King’s Speech for Queen Elizabeth.
Siegal reflected on the personal and professional fallout, saying, “Seven years ago, I was trashed on the front page of the New York Times… No studio would ever work with me again.” She continues to defend her work while acknowledging the public scrutiny that has affected her career.
