Netflix's 'Beef' season 2 trailer pits Oscar Isaac against Carey Mulligan at country club

Netflix has released the official trailer for Beef season 2, offering the first look at Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan as a warring wealthy couple whose country club lives spiral into chaos when they cross paths with employees played by Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.

The Emmy-winning anthology series returns to the streaming platform on April 16 with eight 30-minute episodes from creator Lee Sung Jin and A24 .

According to the official logline, the second season follows a young couple working at a prestigious country club who witness an alarming altercation between their boss and his wife. What unfolds involves "chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner."

Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan Beef roles cast them as Josh Martin and Lindsay Crane-Martin, the wealthy married couple at the center of the conflict. Melton and Spaeny portray the young employees who become entangled in their employers' dangerous games.

The Beef season 2 cast also features Oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh-jung (Minari) and acclaimed Korean actor Song Kang-ho (Parasite), adding international star power to the ensemble.

Creator Lee Sung Jin returns as showrunner and executive producer. Original series stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who won Emmys for their performances in season one, are back as executive producers alongside Jake Schreier, Kitao Sakurai, Ethan Kuperberg, and Anna Ouyang Moench. Isaac, Mulligan, Melton, and Spaeny also serve as producers.

Melton, who earned a Golden Globe nomination for May December, and Spaeny, nominated for her breakout role in Priscilla, bring significant momentum to the sophomore outing.

Beef season one followed Danny Cho (Yeun) and Amy Lau (Wong) after a road rage incident in Los Angeles. The dark comedy won eight Emmy Awards including Outstanding Limited Series, plus three Golden Globes.
