NICL scam report: FIA, Interior Secretary not helping, says Qureishi

Qureishi files report to SC, claims Elahi's wife had transferred Rs90 million via laundering money.

The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam case inquiry officer Zafar Qureshi has submitted his report to the Supreme Court in which he alleged that the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency and Interior Secretary did not provide assistance to him despite the court orders.

According to the details of the report, Zaffar Qureshi had also alleged that the prosecutor for the accused was not appointed in the case, the negligence proving helpful for the accused in the case.


The officer further claimed that the wife of Moonis Elahi had transferred Rs90 million rupees to an account through money laundering.

The Supreme Court has now issued notices to the DG FIA  and the Interior Secretary for not cooperating in the investigation.

Zaffar Qureshi has also written a letter to the Chief Justice in which he has stated that he has life threats from some of the influential persons. He requested the court to issue orders for the authorities to provide him security.
