Essa leads from the front against Police
Captain scores hat-trick in 4-1 PPFL rout.
KARACHI:
Muhammad Essa Khan’s hat-trick helped KESC defeat Police 4-1 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match.
KESC took an early lead when Muhammad opened the scoring in the 16th minute with Essa doubling the lead in the 33rd before adding another two minutes before the interval. KESC continued to dominate the second half and Khan put the result beyond reach with his third goal in the 69th minute. Police did manage a consolation through Waseem Abbas.
“Victory against weaker teams like Police doesn’t really matter,” Essa told The Express Tribune. “Police are playing in the league for the first time so I wouldn’t really say that our team performed well today.”
