A member of the Sindh Assembly from Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Muhammad Farooq, has submitted a resolution in the Sindh Assembly condemning the alleged attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel.
According to the text of the resolution, the assembly strongly condemns the reported attacks and the claimed martyrdom of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with other Iranian leaders, students and civilians. It states that the attacks targeted schools, hospitals and residential areas, resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocent people, including children and female students, which it describes as a violation of humanitarian principles and the United Nations Charter.
The resolution further states that the United States and Israel pose a threat to global peace and are attempting to exert pressure and interfere in Iran's internal affairs, including efforts aimed at regime change. It adds that inciting unrest or attempting to alter a country's government violates international and UN laws.
It also maintains that, under international law, targeting a country's head of state or leadership during war is prohibited, and alleges that this principle has been violated.
