Sinners and its cast were among the biggest winners at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards, as the Screen Actors Guild’s rebranded ceremony took place in Los Angeles ahead of the Oscars.

Michael B Jordan secured the award for male actor in a leading role for his dual performance as the Smokestack twins in Sinners. He triumphed over nominees including Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme and Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another.

Jordan later returned to the stage as Sinners won the award for film ensemble, ahead of Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme and One Battle After Another.

Jessie Buckley won female actor in a leading role for Hamnet. In the supporting categories, Sean Penn was recognised for One Battle After Another, while Amy Madigan received the award for her role as Aunt Gladys in Weapons. Other film winners included Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning for stunt ensemble.

In television, The Studio dominated the comedy categories, winning ensemble, with Seth Rogen taking male actor in a comedy series and Catherine O’Hara awarded female actor in a comedy series. Rogen accepted on her behalf following her passing in January.

The Pitt won drama series ensemble, and Noah Wyle was named male actor in a drama series. Keri Russell won female actor in a drama series for The Diplomat.

In limited series and television film categories, Owen Cooper won male actor for Adolescence, while Michelle Williams took female actor for Dying for Sex. The Last of Us was awarded television stunt ensemble.

With actors forming the largest voting body within the Academy, the SAG Actor Awards are often viewed as an indicator ahead of the Oscars, though results do not always align. The 32nd annual ceremony streamed on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium, hosted by Kristen Bell.
