Sharon Osbourne and her daughter, Kelly, accepted a posthumous lifetime achievement award on behalf of Ozzy Osbourne at the 2026 Brit Awards in Manchester.
The Black Sabbath frontman was honoured during the ceremony on February 28, several months after his death on July 22 2025, at the age of 76. His official cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Taking to the stage, Sharon Osbourne addressed the audience and reflected on her husband’s career. “First of all, what a f---ing good evening it’s been!” she said, prompting cheers from the crowd. “Such amazing artists tonight. I mean, everyone's a winner, everyone.”
She added that Ozzy had disliked making speeches. “I know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now, and I know what he is thinking. He hated to make speeches. He hated listening to speeches. He’d be saying, ‘Hey, missus, shut the f-ck up!’ ”
“But I’m not going to,” she continued, before speaking about his work ethic and gratitude. “He always wanted to do better, both personally and professionally. He never felt that words were enough to thank everybody for the life that he was given and for the life that he led.”
“He may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him,” she said, concluding with: “There will never be another Ozzy f---ing Osbourne!”
Kelly Osbourne also addressed the audience, saying: “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.” She added: “Up the Villa! Birmingham forever!”
The Osbourne family previously said in a statement that he had been surrounded by family and love at the time of his death and asked for privacy.
