Malik Changez Khan announces joining Pakistan Peoples Party

The Special Court for Anti-Corruption (Provincial), Hyderabad, presided over by Special Judge Khalil Ahmed Jafri, has acquitted political leader Malik Changez Khan and 10 others in a case related to the alleged illegal occupation of state land in Thana Bolakhan police station limits. The court ruled that the charges could not be proven, bringing an end to a 15-year-long legal battle.
The accused were represented by advocates Zulfiqar Ali Abbasi and Prem Chand.
According to the case details, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Jamshoro had registered eight separate cases in 2011 on the complaint of its then clerk, the late Abdul Rehman. The allegations pertained to the fraudulent alteration of land records of government property located in Deh Babar Band, Thana Bolakhan, through alleged forgery.
Those named in the cases included Malik Changez Khan, his brother Malik Waheed, relative Malik Phar Khan, Malik Nadir Khan, Malik Sher Dil, local builder Javed Qureshi, former Sub-Registrar Athar Abbas Shah, and former Mukhtiarkar Somar Kalhoro. All of the accused had been on bail during the trial.
It is noteworthy that Malik Changez Khan, who is affiliated with the Jamshoro Ittehad group, recently met the senior leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the presence of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Provincial Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro. During the meeting, he expressed confidence in the party leadership and formally joined the Pakistan Peoples Party.
