Steam Deck OLED price rises by ¥15,000 in Japan amid stock shortages
Steam Deck OLED prices in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan rise from March 6

Valve’s Steam Deck OLED is set to receive a price increase in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, with the changes taking effect on March 6, 2026.
Komodo Station, the authorised retailer for Steam Deck in the three markets, confirmed on February 27 that both the 512GB and 1TB models will see higher prices across the region.
In Japan, the 512GB Steam Deck OLED will rise from JPY 84,800 to JPY 99,800. The 1TB model will increase from JPY 99,800 to JPY 114,800.
The adjustments represent an increase of around $100 USD for each model based on current exchange rates. South Korea and Taiwan will also experience price changes, although the largest increases apply to the Japanese market.
The pricing update comes as the Steam Deck OLED faces stock shortages in other territories. On February 17, the device went out of stock on Valve’s official online store in the United States.
At the time, Valve added a notice stating: “Steam Deck OLED may be out of stock intermittently in some regions due to memory and storage shortages.”
The statement points to ongoing supply chain constraints linked to memory and storage components, which may be affecting both availability and regional pricing strategies.
Komodo Station’s announcement confirms that the revised prices will apply from March 6 in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Valve has not announced similar increases for other regions at the time of writing.
