Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said Afghanistan, acting as India's proxy, chose the same date of February 27 on which Indian pilot Abhinandan was arrested to face a humiliating riposte from Pakistan.
Speaking at an event of journalists and while talking to the media during an Iftar at Rawal House in Hyderabad on Friday, Sharjeel said that Pakistan has been into war against terrorism and this war will continue until complete elimination of terrorism from the country.
"Pakistan has given a befitting response to Afghan provocative attacks on the country's troops and Afghan Taliban will always remember this." Sharjeel said the entire nation stood in support and solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan, paying tribute to Field Marshan Gen Asim Munir for leading the forces against hostilities by neighbours.
The senior minister lamented that Pakistan supported their Afghan brothers during their troubled times, hosting millions of refugees at the cost of their security and economy, but the neighbouring country, while acting as a proxy of India, has disregarded that decades long help.
"The Afghan regime is involved in terrorism incidents in Pakistan," he said, warning that such an aggression will never be tolerated.Sharjeel argued that India lacked the courage for a direct confrontation owing to which it is employing proxy forces. He referred to both Taliban and entities like Balochistan Liberation Army as pawns of India.
Distributing some 512 health insurance cards among journalists at an event hosted by Hyderabad Union of Journalists, he described health as the most valuable asset.
