Benny Blanco addressed online criticism over his feet during a Feb. 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, following the debut of his podcast Friends Keep Secrets with Lil Dicky.

Fans had reacted to a photo showing Blanco’s apparently dirty feet on Lil Dicky’s couch in the first episode of the podcast, which premiered Feb. 24. Social media users quickly voiced their opinions in YouTube comments, with some criticizing Blanco’s hygiene and joking about the floors.

During the interview, host Jimmy Kimmel highlighted the controversy. Blanco explained that the state of the feet was due to the filming location, joking, “It’s not mine.” To prove his point, Blanco removed a sock and displayed a clean foot, declaring, “Look at that clean foot. Are you kidding me?” Lil Dicky also weighed in, noting that the floors were likely dirty due to crew activity on the first day of filming.

The playful exchange reassured fans that Blanco’s hygiene is intact while also highlighting the comedic and candid tone of the podcast. Earlier in the episode, Blanco engaged in humorous antics, including deliberately passing gas for the camera, consistent with the show’s lighthearted content.

Blanco, 37, has recently been in the spotlight due to his marriage to singer Selena Gomez, who publicly showed affection for him on Instagram Stories following the podcast incident.

The episode underscores the viral nature of minor celebrity controversies and how public figures like Blanco use humor and appearances to respond to online criticism.
