Pink is reportedly being considered as a potential successor to Kelly Clarkson on NBC’s daytime program The Kelly Clarkson Show, according to a new report from Page Six.

Clarkson, who rose to fame after winning American Idol, is set to conclude her Emmy-winning talk show after seven seasons this fall. As NBC prepares for the transition, sources cited by Page Six claim producers see Pink as a strong fit for the hosting role. The insider reportedly said the singer has been guest-hosting and “doing very well,” with plans potentially pointing toward a permanent replacement.

There has been no official confirmation from NBC regarding a new host. Pink’s representatives have also not publicly commented on the report. The Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Alecia Moore, is scheduled to guest-host the show for a week beginning Monday, further fueling speculation about her future with the network.

Pink, known for hits such as “So What,” has reportedly spent extended time in New York City in recent months after living for years on a California vineyard with her husband, Carey Hart, and their children.

The hosting rumors come shortly after People published claims that Pink and Hart were heading toward a split after two decades of marriage. Pink publicly denied the speculation, describing the reports as “fake news.”

NBC has not announced a final decision regarding Clarkson’s replacement.
