Jonathan Majors has begun production on a new action movie backed by The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, marking his first film project in four years.

Cameras are rolling this week in South Carolina on the untitled feature, directed by Kyle Rankin, who also wrote the screenplay.

Details about the film’s title, plot, and additional cast members are being kept confidential. However, the project is described as being in the spirit of classic 1980s and 1990s action films such as Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, centered on groups of teenagers banding together to confront invading enemies.

The film is produced by Ben Shapiro for The Daily Wire and Dallas Sonnier for Bonfire Legend. Additional producers include Travis Mills, Lillian Campbell, and Sydney Aucreman. Executive producers include Caleb Robinson, Mike Richards, Majors for Tall Street Productions, and Jason Ramos.

Majors previously gained recognition for roles in Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as well as HBO’s Lovecraft Country. His career stalled in 2023 following a misdemeanor assault conviction involving a former partner, after which he was dropped from several high-profile projects.

The actor has since been rebuilding his career and remains attached to the upcoming supernatural thriller Merciless. The new action film reunites Rankin with The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend following their previous collaboration on Run Hide Fight, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2020.

Majors is represented by WME and Fox Rothschild.
