In the sketch, Storrie discusses his ability to perform multiple accents before Johnson enters to challenge him in a comedic showdown. The bit escalates into a mock rivalry, highlighting both performers’ impressions and voice work. The segment marks the official kickoff to Storrie’s hosting debut on Saturday Night Live Season 51.
The episode arrives amid a high-profile March lineup for the NBC series. Ryan Gosling is scheduled to return as host on March 7 alongside musical guest Gorillaz. On March 14, Harry Styles will serve as both host and musical guest.
Storrie is best known for his role in Heated Rivalry, the adaptation of Rachel Reid’s novel series. Series creator Jacob Tierney has previously discussed how the upcoming second season will further explore the evolving relationship between characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rosanov, balancing intimacy and long-term romantic development.
Season 51 of Saturday Night Live features returning cast members including Michael Che, Colin Jost, Kenan Thompson, Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman, along with new featured players and writers. The long-running sketch comedy series, executive produced by Lorne Michaels, continues to broadcast live from Studio 8H at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
