'Witch Hat Atelier' anime confirms April 6 2026 debut with new trailer, cast and theme songs

The Witch Hat Atelier anime will premiere in Japan on April 6 2026, according to an announcement made on the series’ official website and social media accounts.

A new main trailer and key visual were released alongside the premiere date. It was also confirmed that Eve will perform the opening theme song, “Kaze no Anthem” featuring Suis from Yorushika. The ending theme, “Tada Utsukushii Noroi,” will be performed by Nakamura Hak.

Additional cast members have been revealed. Hibiku Yamamura will voice Agott, Kurumi Haruki will play Tetia, Hika Tsukishiro will voice Richeh, and Yuichi Nakamura will portray Olruggio. Misaki Kuno joins as Brushbuddy, while Mitsuki Saiga will voice Iguin.

The anime is directed by Ayumu Watanabe at studio BUG FILMS, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko, character designs by Kairi Unabara and music by Yuka Kitamura.

Crunchyroll has confirmed it will simulcast the series as it airs in Japan for subscribers across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.

Witch Hat Atelier is based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, first serialised in Kodansha’s Morning Two magazine in July 2016. Fifteen volumes have been released in Japan to date.

Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes it as a story about a girl named Coco who dreams of becoming a witch in a world where magic is believed to be an innate ability.

Further updates about the adaptation are expected ahead of its spring 2026 debut.
