Snooki reveals stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis after early detection
Nicole Polizzi says doctors caught stage 1 cervical cancer early and outlines next medical steps

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has announced she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer, saying doctors identified the condition at an early stage.
The Jersey Shore star shared the news in a series of TikTok videos, explaining she recently attended a post-operative appointment following a cone biopsy, a procedure in which part of the cervix is removed for examination.
“Right now, I’m in the parking lot to go to my post-op appointment from the cone biopsy,” she said. After the visit, she described it as “the easiest appointment I’ve had in years”.
Polizzi, 38, said results from a colposcopy confirmed stage 1 cervical cancer. “My results came back from my colposcopy. You guys okay? It came back stage one cervical cancer, called, um, adenocarcinoma or something like 1B1,” she said. “Obviously not the news I was hoping for, but not the worst either, since they found it early. Thank freaking god”.
She added that margins from the biopsy were clear, meaning surrounding tissue did not show cancer cells. However, she said doctors informed her that adenocarcinoma can be more aggressive in spreading to the body and lymph nodes.
Her next step is a PET scan to determine whether the cancer has spread. Depending on the results, she said she may undergo a hysterectomy while keeping her ovaries. “It all depends on the PET scan,” she said.
Polizzi also revealed she experienced a “mental breakdown” after the diagnosis and urged women to attend regular cervical screening appointments. “Get. Get your appointments done, guys. I’m telling you.”
