CM reviews governance road map progress

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi presided over a high-level meeting to review service delivery progress across provincial de-partments under the Good Governance Roadmap.
The session focused on completed targets, ongoing initi-atives, and accelerated implementation to align public services with citizens' expectations.
During the meeting, relevant officials provided detailed briefings on advancements achieved so far. Addressing the participants, CM Afridi emphasized that enhancing service delivery to precisely match public needs and aspi-rations remains the provincial government's core and ultimate mission.
He made it clear that no negligence or delay in implementing the Good Governance Roadmap would be tolerated. The Chief Minister directed officials to adopt inno-vative and effective strategies to promptly complete any lagging matters. He issued firm instructions that all mid-term actions outlined in the roadmap must be fully accomplished by June this year without fail.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need to make the upcoming spring tree plantation campaign the largest and most organized in the province's history. He directed timely completion of all arrangements and ensured massive participation from government employees, students, and civil society. Special emphasis was placed on promot-ing the planting of fruit-bearing trees in government offices and official residences.
The meeting also discussed the Rs1,000 billion 'Roshan Qabail Package' for the merged districts. CM Afridi instructed that the package's preparation and final con-tours be completed this month in a practical and implementable form to fast-track development activities in these areas.
He further ordered all provincial departments to immediately begin preparations for the next fiscal year's budget. To ensure timely approval and execution of development projects, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was directed to hold weekly meetings.
In the health sector, the Chief Minister directed that the recruitment process for contract doctors in government hospitals be completed by March 5. He also ordered im-mediate steps to introduce mammography services at DHQs in southern districts and regional DHQs in other areas.
CM Afridi prioritized the repair and reactivation of dys-functional tube wells across the province on an urgent basis to quickly resolve public hardships related to water supply.
In education, he stressed raising teacher attendance in government schools from the current 90 per cent to 100 per cent, directing authorities to establish an effective monitoring system for this purpose.
Reviewing law and order and infrastructure matters, the Chief Minister instructed to accelerate construction work on the Karamar and Hangu-Sarozai roads. He also or-dered strengthened security for anti-polio teams to en-sure the campaign proceeds without interruption.
Highlighting the "Ehsaas Apna Ghar' program, described as the vision of party leader and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, CM Afridi called for fast-tracking its comple-tion to provide housing facilities to deserving families.
