A lawsuit connected to the release of government files on convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein has once again put prominent Hollywood figure Casey Wasserman under legal pressure, with a new wrinkle involving expensive charity gala tickets Epstein purchased resurfacing in court.

The latest legal action involves a $15,000 ticket Epstein bought for the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s 2013 pre‑Oscars gala, and the way those tickets were distributed is now being examined as part of long‑running litigation against Wasserman.

Wasserman, who chairs the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, has already faced intense industry fallout after correspondence between him and Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell appeared in recently released Department of Justice documents, part of what’s known as the Epstein files.

Several high‑profile clients, including recording artist Chappell Roan, have exited Wasserman’s talent agency amid the controversy, and others have publicly urged him to step down.

At the same time, political pressure has grown over his leadership of LA28. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and a group of activists have called for his removal as chairman of the Olympics organizing committee, arguing someone linked to Epstein’s circle should not represent the United States on the world stage. Supporters of Wasserman, however, including key leaders within the LA28 organization, have stood by him so far.

While the lawsuit and ticket issue do not allege criminal conduct by Wasserman, they add another layer of scrutiny to his role in the entertainment and sports worlds as lawsuits, public criticism, and fallout from the Epstein files continue to reverberate across Hollywood and beyond.
